new work

Here's a little canvas replication commission I did for a friend.
It is drawn from the famous Josephine Baker portrait by Paul Colin.

Painted with acrylic on a 12" square canvas stretched with dyed canvas. (canvas material is dyed to a colour, not the typical white that normally is available)
I really like how this turned out. the smooth sensual line-work of the illustration plays nicely with the roughish texture of this canvas treatment, and I took extra care to make the paint application as smooth as possible to look more like a print, than a painting.
