This past weekend was Beats, bgreaksand Graffiti, the battle. Held at harbourfront centre on July 5th and 6th. This event was organized By Horus and the Manifesto staff, including Steve Ferrara of wellandgood.ca
Toronto has seen yearly graffiti expo's and demo's for years now, but this event was unique in offering a cash prize.
congratulations to elicsr and Iah for taking the cash prize!
We hope to see this event happen again, and bigger!

BEATS, BREAKS & GRAFFITI
BEATS, BREAKS & GRAFFITI
Date: July 5th-6th
Times: Saturday 2:00pm-6:00pm
Sunday 2:00pm-6:00pm
Join us at Harborfront center for a live graffiti battle featuring Toronto’s most talented graffiti artists competing against each other for a one-team-takes-all
Cash prize of $500!!!
The competition will consists of four - two person teams painting a single canvas
The first round of competition will take place on Saturday on the lawns at harborfront center, followed immediately by judging and announcement of final round competitors
The final 2 teams will compete live at Pop, Lock and Load @ (Ann Tindal Lawns) on July 6th
*note final round canvases, are double the size of first round.
winning team will receive $500 cash prize
-All artwork will remain property of Harbourfront Centre, and may be shown at an upcoming Manifesto event later in the year
To submit for participation in the battle:
Submit via email, or in person to Horus
1-3 sketches or photos of past, or planned work
2 person teams -Writer names, and real names(strictly confidential via Horus)
phone or email contact for team
Artists will be required to supply their own paint for this event.
*but about 20 –30 cans will be made available to final round contestants
